How we do what we do
- Our products are manufactured and packaged by group or related companies based in South Africa
- Our products are harvested and processed in an environmentally and socially sustainable manner and the processes are audited and accredited by the Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC) and the Amfori BSCI monitoring social compliance
The impact of what we do
- Our manufacturers harvest the primary product, Black Wattle, from water scarce areas that are used by the agricultural sector, thereby assisting greatly with the preservation of their valuable water source.
- Black Wattle is an alien invasive tree that has taken over large areas of land, thereby impacting local farmers food production capacity due to the Black Wattle’s insatiable appetite for water.
- The continued responsible harvesting of the Black Wattle trees also creates significant employment opportunities in a geographical area starved of gainful employment for the local population.
